Our Mission
To advance maternal health equity by improving access to quality prenatal care with AI
Our Vision
We aim to elevate, standardize, and democratize the global standard of care for every expectant mother by bringing expert-level prenatal screening to them.
Every 4.5 minutes, a baby is born with a birth defect in the United States[1]. Unfortunately, many of these defects go undetected during prenatal scans, at a time when they are still easily treatable. This is caused by limited access to maternal care as well as the complexity of the defects.
Ultrasound imaging and interpretation are inherently subjective, demanding specialized expertise to accurately interpret fetal anatomy and scans. This results in a variance in the quality of care at a time when it matters most. The current process of identifying fetal anomalies is both time-consuming and challenging. This issue is exacerbated by a global shortage of maternal healthcare providers, particularly in rural areas.
We firmly believe that Origin Medical’s proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI) holds the key to solving these challenges.
Our technology harnesses the power of AI to support a broad spectrum of healthcare providers in rural and urban communities, allowing them to practice at the top of their licenses. With AI in the imaging workflow, clinicians can more confidently deliver timely interventions, enhance pregnancy outcomes, identify high-risk pregnancies to reduce maternal mortality, and significantly lower infant mortality rates.
